LED Light Introduction,pros and cons

LED is the abbreviation of light emitting diode. Light emitting diode (LED) is a kind of solid-state semiconductor device which can convert electric energy into visible light.

The heart of LED is a semiconductor chip. One end of the chip is attached to a bracket, one end is a negative pole, and the other end is connected to the positive pole of the power supply, so that the whole chip is encapsulated by epoxy resin. A semiconductor chip consists of two parts: one is a p-type semiconductor, in which holes dominate; the other end is an n-type semiconductor, in which electrons are the main component. But when the two semiconductors are connected, a p-n junction is formed between them. When the current acts on the chip through the wire, the electron will be pushed to the P area, where the electron and the hole compound, and then will emit energy in the form of photons, which is the principle of LED luminescence.

Because the heat of LED is not high, the electric energy is converted into light energy as much as possible, so LED is often called "LED energy saving lamp". When buying energy-saving lamps, be sure to distinguish between LED and CFL, which are two completely different light sources.

Also known as energy-saving lamp, compared with CFL lamp, LED lamp environmental protection does not contain mercury, can be recycled, which is probably a major driving force for countries to vigorously develop LED lights.

LED lamp has many advantages, mainly in the following points on the lamp light source:

① Green environmental protection: small glare, no radiation, no harmful substances in use.

② It has the advantages of long life, stable performance, no easy burning, thermal deposition and light fading of filament.

③ Multi Transformation: LED light source can use the principle of red, green and blue three primary colors to produce different colors, intensities and color temperatures under the control of computer technology.

But led lights also have well-known shortcomings: blue light, stroboscopic problem, which is also the place where many eye protection lights make a fuss.
